Today's issue of USA Today has a lot of "Breaking Bad"coverage, but to me, the picture above is the highlight. It captures the show's creator at an important crossroads in his life and career. It's like he's putting on his coat and saying good-bye to one very important era in his life and career. And happy and gratified at the success the show has achieved, he's on to the next challenge!
I have a huge loose leaf binder of "Breaking Bad" pictures, articles, etc., collected over the past several years. Right now, we have 8 final episodes to savor (and collect on). But I'm saving this picture of Vince Gilligan for the last page!

I spent a couple of hours last night, putting the finishing touches on my 2-inch thick "Breaking Bad" binder, and I did, indeed use that picture of Vince putting on his coat, as the final page.
I like the symbolism of it: The picture looks like he's saying a fond farewell to "Breaking Bad" as he's off to more adventures, with his next series, "Battle Creek."
I'm proud of Vince Gilligan and the success he earned with "Breaking Bad." The show gained a lot of new fans in its final season. Plus, it won a long- deserved Emmy for Best Drama. The show and all involved will be eligible for NEXT year's Emmys, too, so we might have some nice surprises then, too!
I'm proud of Vince Gilligan, who put the show together with a lot of tender loving care. Same as I put together my binder!
